TGIF!  It’s a cloudy day here in Southwestern Ontario, but it’s still nice and warm!  🙂  I completed a couple of cards for some swaps over at Lil’ Scrappers! ( These swaps are so much fun.  It’s an ideal way to get your mojo going, and to see others’ creations.  The first one is a card I made, and then I sent the products to (the very talented) Tamara, who created a completely different card with the same products!

Here’s my original card:

I’m really not entirely happy with my card.  But, there are aspects of it that I LOVE – including the Basic Grey, Two Scoops patterned paper!  But, the beauty of this process, is that I got to send similar products to someone else.  In this case, I think Tamara’s card is far superior to mine:

Next, I got to make a card with products that Tamara sent to me.  Remember, I didn’t see Tamara’s card until after I made mine.  In this instance, I love them both!

Here’s Tamara’s:

And, now, mine:

Next, I completed a 3×3 card swap, hosted by my fabulously talented, Lil’ Scrappers DT member, Michy.  For this swap, I completed 10 cards.  11 other participants are doing the same thing.  Michy will be sending each of us 10 DIFFERENT cards from 10 other artists!  FUN!  Here are my cards.  I used some of my little shrink charms for the sentiment!  🙂

So, what do you think?  I like the way it turned out!  Recipe:  Stampin’ up products:  black eyelets; Close to Cocoa stamp ink; cardstock – Kraft card base, shimmery white, and fuschia (that’s not the Stampin’ up name for it…can’t remember what it is lol); markers to colour the image, which I watercoloured using the SU water brush; background stamp is an SU wheel stamp; hemp string is also SU.  Black cs is Bazzill.  Stickles were used for the heart; Uniball Sigma white pen for the dots on the background; shrink plastic charm stamped with a Michael’s acrylic stamp sentiment, using Stazon black ink.  The Hedgie is by Penny Black.  I think that’s it!

And now, BLOG CANDY!  All you have to do is create a card using any one of the cards within this post as inspiration.  Link me to your creation, and I’ll send you a card kit, which will include some of the Hedgehog stamped images, along with a shrink plastic charm, and some cardstock and pp, and embellies.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy your day!

I used Tamara’s “A little bird” card as inspiration for my Christmas card.
