The Town Scrapper!

Hello my friends!  How is everyone doing today?  It’s a sunny Sunday here in Southwestern Ontario!  I’m hoping it warms up a bit so that I can get outside and soak in some of that fabulous vitamin D!  AND, tonight is the finale of SURVIVOR!  I was SO happy when they sent Coach home last week!  I’m hoping JT wins!

On to scrappy stuff.  Today I have a couple of cards to share with you.  Phebe, over at the Town Scrapper has a call up for a Guest Designer, so I thought I’d give it a try.  This post is part of the application process.

High Hopes Hpy

Hi Hopes Hpy Detail

For my first card, I stamped both High Hopes images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on to Canson 150 lb Drawing Paper, and coloured them in with my Copics.  I added a touch of bling on the flower on her hat with Stickles, and used Smooch Pearlized accent ink on the little hearts of her dress.  I used my Nestabilities in my Cuttlebug to cut out the images, the sentiment tag, and the mat under my main image.  I popped her up with dimensionals and matted her with another die cut (Nestabilities in my Cuttlebug), using Basic Grey patterned paper, from the Lime Ricky line.  The card base is Bazzill Basics, and all patterned paper is Basic Grey.  I used my Fiskars border punch on the red(ish) paper, and the border on the orange paper was made with my Martha Stewart border punch.  Finally, I machine stitched around 3 sides, and called it “done”!

Anya Friend

Anya detail

For my friendship card, I stamped Anya (The Greeting Farm), from the Town Scrapper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Canson 150 lb drawing paper, and coloured her in with my Copics.  Her necklace with adorned with Stickles.  The white blossom on her hat, and on the card are Flora Doodles from Petaloo.  I die cut the stamped image using my Nestabilities in my Cuttlebug, and matted her, die cutting the Basic Grey (Wisteria) patterned paper, using the same Nesties/Cuttlebug method.  The white card base, and green mat are both Bazzill Basics cardstock, and all patterned papers are Basic Grey, from the Wisteria line.  The rub-on sentiment is from Stampin’ Up.  I used an old Fiskars corner punch on the upper left corner.  The  little pearls were from the dollar store.

So, that’s all for now.  I hope Phebe likes them!  🙂  Wish me luck!
